Our Philosophy
“Let your teacher be love itself” - Rumi. When we feel the light inside we become the light. Let us be that guiding light and loving force to support those ready to embrace the spirit of yoga.
What is Yoga? Yoga is an integrated system of body mind and spirit that goes back thousands of years. “Hatha” Yoga is one of several yoga paths, with a focus on physical control, in preparation for “Raja” yoga’s eightfold path toward self realization.
Classes Offered:
Hatha Yoga
This style of yoga is a combination of physical postures, breathing exercises, cleansing processes, and mindfulness of the physical and subtle energy bodies. All this to prepare for reflection, contemplation and meditation. In this class you can expect an emphasis on breath and mindful movement which work to slowly improve flexibility, strength, and peace of mind. All levels welcome.
Refresher - All Levels
In this class we will review the essential poses, and sun salutation. Rather than flowing through each posture, we focus on holding the poses which allows us the space to find proper alignment with our breath.
Beginner
A gentle learning process for beginners and intermediate students. The focus will be on breath work and alignment to set you up for a solid foundation in your yoga practice.
Eightfold Yoga
The Yoga Sutras written by Patanjali offers the 8-steps (Eightfold//Eight Limbs) towards a higher consciousness of self. This set of 16 classes, over 8 weeks, is all about the ease of naturally learning those 8 steps through yoga movement with breath; feeling your “now” moments through concentration; and a gentle meditation while relaxing in shivasana. When you go home you will take with you the simple tools for self care plus a soft nudge to be more aware of your thoughts and actions. These are guidelines to keep your busy life simple.
What are the 8 Limbs of Eightfold Yoga?
1) Yamas - social conduct
2) Niyamas - practices (self care)
3) Asanas - postures
4) Pranayama - breathwork
5) Pratiahara - senses withdrawal
6) Dharana - concentration
7) Dhayana - meditation
8) Samedi - nirvana

Amorah has many certifications in the Healing Arts: 600 hours YTT, 10,000+ hrs teaching, Certified Esthetician, RMT, Wholistic Therapist, Master Herbalist, and Reiki Master. She fell in love (literally) with yoga when she met the owner of Prana Yoga College, Shakti Mei. Shakti showed Amorah the effects of her breath in a seated forward fold. “My body folded like a closed book with complete ease. There was no separation of body and mind. I knew in that one moment where I was going.” Amorah is a forever student, and she has studied with many teachers, but she has always recognized that her style includes the wisdom and knowledge of spirituality. Heart comes first. In 2022, she traveled to Greece where she completed another 200 hours of yoga teacher training and was inspired to open Eightfold Yoga & Reiki Healing.
